Green Tea by Bvlgari
I just found out that Green Tea is considered a unisex scent. Now I actually have quite different opinions on scent and gender. I think the boundaries we impose between boy's colognes and girl's colognes are totally artificial and historically inacurrate. Granted, I do think individuals tend to do well with certain types of scents and, as a rule, the big effervescent kind of florals work better on females than males, but I am quite open to the idea of wearing all kinds of fragrance products. And Green Tea is certainly a good choice for one that would work well for a wide range of people. It's called Green Tea and while I adore the smell of green tea (and all tea, even Lipton's tea), the green tea notes are not the dominant element in the mix. The scent itself is classified as a citrus scent and it is the bergamot and orange notes that emerge first. This is one of those peppery perfumes with a couple of hot spicy notes. There are also some rose and jasmine notes in the mix. Oh, and somewhere in then, there is green tea. Green tea is more at the heart of this perfume, while the citrus is the top note layer. If you like citrus scents but are just bored with the ordinary variety, the peppery notes and a sort of distant smoky smell elevate this to something sophisticated. It's a light scent but it has pretty good staying poor. It wears well on most people, but it is understated. Green Tea is a great office perfume or scent for professional person or the kind of person who is going to be in a crowd and does not want to offend any of the many allergy sufferers who seem to enjoy being in crowded places. You could almost put this on and pass it off as a sophisticated lotion or body wash, it's that delicate. |
