Image Fragrance is an important part of life. Fortunately for us, perfumes and related products are abundantly available. They're almost too plentiful. Fragrance is a multibillion dollar global industry.

So how does a girl or guy smell good? We created Fragrance-Reporter to help you learn about perfume, to get to know available fragrances, and to develop your own "nose."

Perfume, like wine, seems to attract snobs. Don't get us wrong; snobs are often very knowledgeable. But we are open to all types of scents from anywhere in the world, big companies, small companies, famous, not-so-famous, and expensive or cheap. That's right. We think there are still some great bargains out there among lower-priced products, just like we think you there are some expensive fragrances out there that are glorious.

With all of the perfume we love, we somtimes get nose fatigue. So here's a tip. Get a little net bag and put a few coffee beans in it. If you don't have that (a real tool of the trade for perfumistas), a good hot cup of coffee will do. Just take a whiff between perfumes. It's the nasal version of taking a bit of sherbet to cleanse the palate.

So many perfumes, so little time!
